Your family’s information, with care.

Growth Portrait helps Pinecone families and teachers reflect on a child’s development. It is completed by an adult caregiver. There are no child accounts, advertisements, or tracking analytics.

What we collect

The school prepares your child’s name, date of birth, program, and caregiver contact. You add observations, optional notes and family context. Avoid including financial details, medical documents, or information about other families.

Who sees your answers

Your unfinished answers are saved privately so you can return. They enter the school’s review workspace when you select Send portrait. If you choose Send this concern now, only that concern is shared immediately. Authorized school staff see submitted information according to their role and program. Vivian or an authorized director releases the reviewed family reflection.

Your invitation and results links

These private links give access to one portrait or one released reflection. Treat them like a private letter. Do not post or forward them publicly. Ask the school to replace a link if it reaches the wrong person. School staff use a separate verified sign-in.

Storage and choices

When the school activates this service, records are stored in its configured Supabase database and the application is hosted on Vercel. We do not send your answers to a generative AI provider. The software prepares descriptive drafts using fixed rules, and educators review them.

You can ask Pinecone to correct an error, provide a copy, explain who can access a record, or discuss retention and deletion. Submitted observations stay separate from teacher notes so your original words are preserved. Required childcare records may need to be retained under the school’s legal obligations; optional copies should be removed when no longer needed.

You may ask to complete the portrait in a conversation, with language assistance, or with accommodations. Please contact your usual Pinecone teacher or Vivian through your existing school communication channel.

Sample experience

The clearly marked sample uses fictional children. Please enter only fictional information in it. Sample sessions expire after 24 hours and may be cleared sooner. Connecting the real school database and approving the content are required before invitations to real families.
